The Parton brothers started Apolis Activism in 2004 from their coastal homestead in Santa Barbara, CA with the goal of unifying a heritage craft & commerce with global sustainable development.
Established as a non-profit organization in 2001, Citta created a women's cashmere cooperative in Kathmandu, Nepal with the aim of empowering a self-sufficient infrastructure for the local community.
Together, Apolis and Citta have embarked on a focused partnership to create commerce with a conscience. And born from their efforts, comes the Nepal Project: Cashmere Collection.
Over five years ago Rapha began setting the standard for performance roadwear by targeting the most discerning rider with products that blend function and form.
Widely considered one of the world's adventure cycling capitals, the idea and opportunity to intersect Apolis Activism's vision, Rapha's expertise, and Citta's purpose was realized in the creation of the Transit Elite Sweater.
